Contemporary Fashion Studio Work Placement Internship en Mannisto

Contemporary menswear label MANNISTO is looking for fashion students to develop their skills in busy international studio located in small Scandinavian city Turku in Finland. The internship is very hands on and requires independent, energetic and open minded individuals. We offer help in finding an accommodation. The working language is English. We offer practise in the following tasks• Involvement in design research and development. The collections are made in the studio from sketch to samples. Students will be able to learn and take part of the process.• Know-how in prototype manufacture and garment development, pattern cutting with basic pattern alternations and copying.• fabric sourcing, testing, organizing catalogues. Students will work with toile materials and final materials and deepen their knowledge in materials.• For those who interested/experienced in printing an opportunity to work in closely with the designer and the print development. We do mostly silk screen printing.• Training in managing spec files and technical drawings for sampling and manufacture. Students will learn the importance of details and following the system.
